All American Day 2015, NSW

All American Day 2015, NSW All American Day 2015, NSW All American Day 2015, NSW All American Day 2015, NSW The Mustang Owners Club of Australia NSW Inc. hosted the 33rd Annual All American Day on Sunday, January 18th 2014 at Castle Towers Shopping Centre, Castle Hill and as in previous years it had a large attendance of entrants and spectators.

With temperatures expected in the early thirties I arrived early with the intent to be long gone by midday. The blond concrete roof of the car park reflects the heat and by the time I left you could feel it through the soles of your shoes. Peering through an open window to check out an interior was met with a rush of hot air that had sweat beading on your brow.

The show is for American built vehicles only and all the marques were represented with the majority being outstanding examples in pristine restored condition. Mustangs were very well represented with the greatest numbers covering all body styles, years and Shelby’s to boot. The quality was top shelf with a number of serious six figure restos baking in the sun.

Mopars, Corvettes, Cadillacs, Tri Fives, Impalas, Camaros, Studebakers, Packards, hot rods, WW11 army jeeps, pickups, Galaxies, Customlines, El Caminos, Hudsons, Ramblers – you name it, they were there.

On offer was 29 trophy categories catering for vintage and veteran, hot rods, cruisers, commercials, muscle cars and convertibles and I’m glad I wasn’t a judge as the high standard of classics on show would be near impossible to pick winners from.

An assortment of trade stands was sprinkled across the rooftop car park and with free entry for the public there were plenty of admirers and other entrants checking out all on offer. Proceeds from the day were donated to The Children's Hospital at Westmead.

A large table housed the trophies but I had shot through before the presentation. If you are into American classic cars and you have never been to Castle Hill this is definitely worth your while to attend. Always held in January I am sure it will be on again in 2016 so make sure you get along and check it out.
